Funding is intended for projects involving basic science, translational, clinical, or behavioral research on the topic of lung health or lung disease. Eligible applicants are highly promising investigators demonstrating past accomplishments, excellence, and productivity who have the potential to advance the field of lung disease science.

Grants of $50,000 per year to USA early-career researchers affiliated with nonprofit research institutions for studies related to lung biology and diseases. Funding is intended to support innovative projects conducted under the supervision of a qualified mentor. Preference will be given to projects that utilize modern technologies and incorporate a multidisciplinary collaborative training plan.

Grants of up to $50,000 per year to USA researchers affiliated with qualifying research institutions to conduct studies on public health and policies related to lung health. Focus areas include, but are not limited to, air quality, climate change, tobacco control, and disparities. Funding is intended to support research and evaluation of current policies and programs as well as projects to infuse new ideas for programs and policies that will positively impact lung health.

Grants of $50,000 per year to USA early-career researchers affiliated with nonprofit research institutions for studies related to specified lung diseases. Funding is intended to support projects under the supervision of a mentor that shed light on the biology and mechanisms of interstitial lung disease

Grants of up to $75,000 to USA researchers affiliated with universities and organizations for research related to agriculture. Funding is intended to enhance the legume industry. Priority will be given to research projects addressing one or more of the following areas of focus: breeding and variety trials and genetics, nutrition and health benefits, crop management and sustainability, and product development.

Grants to New Hampshire community-based organizations for programs that discourage the use of tobacco products among youth. Funding is intended to support the development and implementation of youth-led activities and strategies that prevent access to and use of these products, thereby reducing the number of youth between the ages of 10 and 20 that begin using these products.

Grants to USA junior faculty in association with research institutions for research projects related to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of tumors. The purpose of the program is to address gaps in knowledge related to oncology solid tumors. Funding is intended for researchers in the early stages of their careers.

Grants of $75,000 per year to USA qualifying early-career investigators affiliated with nonprofit research institutions to conduct clinical, basic, or translational research studies in the field of lung disease science. Funding is intended to assist researchers demonstrating exemplary achievements who show promise in advancing knowledge of interstitial lung diseases.

Grants of $1,500 and grants of $3,000 to Maine and New Hampshire artists to participate in a mentorship program. Funding is intended to strengthen the crafts sector by providing emerging artists with resources, skills, and improved management habits. The seven-month program offers customized education for artists who have a deep commitment to better their work and are willing to develop a relationship with a mentor artist to accomplish their desired professional goals. Pairs apply jointly with agreed goals, a plan for achievement, and a proposed budget for the apprentice’s stipend.

Grants of up to $3,000 to USA family- and tribe-owned livestock and poultry farms for projects that improve animal conditions. Funding is intended to assist independent farmers in enhancing or expanding pasture, obtaining animal welfare certification, and building capacity or maintaining certification.

Grants to USA and territories youth leaders for projects addressing childhood hunger. Funding is intended to support community service initiatives and fundraising projects. The goal of the program is to actualize young people's ideas related to childhood hunger prevention. Applicants must be between the ages of 5 and 25.

Grants of $5,000 to USA, Canada, or International women professional journalists to support efforts to report on worldwide subcultures. Funding may be used for reporting-related costs such as logistics, travel, visa fees, insurance, professional stipends, and payments for producers and translators. Grants will help women with Kim Wall's adventurous spirit chase down important, underreported stories.

Opportunity for USA and territories individuals and teams affiliated with universities to compete for prizes to develop data-driven solutions to air traffic challenges. The purpose of the competition is to enable students and faculty to utilize data related to weather forecast data, airport runway configurations, and airspace congestion to develop services for flight operators.

This award recognizes contributions within the first ten years of the individual’s career and encourages continued contributions and growth within the field of clinical psychology.

Competition for USA, Canada, and International children, youth, or teams, ages 5-24, to present solutions to global challenges, as identified by the United Nations. Applicants must submit the first round of applications before moving up to the second round. Groups must brainstorm and submit original ideas. Finalists will be asked to write a one-minute pitch video describing their solution.

Fellowships to USA, Canada, and International arts managers for professional development activities at an American institute. Applicants are required to submit an LOI prior to a full grant application. The purpose of the opportunity is to improve managers' organizational skills and to support endeavors including marketing, planning, and fundraising. Fellows attend a four-week residency in July for three consecutive years and engage in mentoring and cohort-based activities between residencies. The residency is held in Washington, D.C. at least once every three years. Other U.S. East Coast locations may be used in alternate years.

Grants to USA nonprofit and for-profit organizations, agencies, tribal governments, and IHEs to develop technologies and systems that help promote self-sufficiency for individuals with disabilities. Grants to USA nonprofit and for-profit organizations, agencies, tribal governments, and IHEs for research projects on the integration and inclusion of individuals with disabilities. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. Funding is intended for research activities that address issues such as family support, independent living, and social and economic self-sufficiency.

Contract for services to USA public, private, and nonprofit entities, and tribal, faith-based, and community-based organizations to manage a national bank of information related to rural healthcare. Applicants are advised that completing required registrations may take up to one month. The goal of this program is to develop and operate a nation-wide information clearinghouse on rural health that supports access to healthcare and improves population health in rural communities.

Contract for services to a USA nonprofit, agency, business, tribe, or school district to build the capacity of rural health offices. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several days. Funding is intended to strengthen leadership, promote collaboration, offer education on emerging health issues and policy, and support the core functions of the 50 State Offices of Rural Health (SORH). Funding is intended for financial support to offset the costs of transportation, utilities, medication, groceries, mental health care, dependent care, accessibility support, holistic health care, and reproductive care. Eligible applicants include playwrights, composers, lyricists, and librettists.

Awards to USA, Canada, and International educators to recognize exceptional contributions to the field of education. The purpose of the award is to highlight the recipients' innovative educational techniques. Awards are distributed twice annually with focus areas including online teaching, research, leadership, equity and inclusion, and open education.

Applicants are advised that required registrations may take up to six weeks to complete. Funding is intended to support studies that assess the effectiveness of pending programs and policies that are likely to prevent or reduce obesity in a given population by reducing energy intake, increasing activity, or decreasing sedentary behavior.

Grants of up to $3,000 to USA and territories professional dancers for support in facing financial challenges caused by unexpected circumstances. Eligible uses of funding include expenses related to food, housing, medical, transportation, and other essential needs. The program is open to applicants demonstrating an urgent and critical need for emergency support. Expenses can be already paid, can be owed, or can be coming up in the near future.

Priority focus areas include capital improvements, community connections, intergenerational programming, Holocaust survivors, and dementia care.

The purpose of the grant is to share research findings and promote careers in pediatric cancer research. Eligible uses of funds include travel, small pieces of equipment, and supplies.

Grants of up to $50,000 to USA, Canada, and International veterinarians, post-doctoral fellows, and veterinary students for research projects that address the health needs of cats. All areas of study related to feline health are welcome. Funding is intended for studies that primarily benefit domestic cats.

Grants of $500 and in-kind donations to USA and territories organizations and schools for gardening programs. Funding is intended for both new and expanded programs to benefit children and youth. In addition to the cash grant, successful applicants will receive a collection of gardening tools and supplies. The goal of the program is to teach students about gardening and enhance the quality of life for youth and their communities.

Award of $5,000 to a USA individual to honor dedication to the advancement of social change in the area of health. The purpose of this program is to recognize an individual whose work in the public or nonprofit sector has made a significant impact on the field of health advocacy.

Grants to USA school libraries for books and other reading materials. Funding is intended to encourage students from underserved schools to develop an interest in learning and reading. Eligible expenses include books and electronic books, periodicals, reference materials, and magazine and newspaper subscriptions. Public school applicants must be Title 1 eligible.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International art students and emerging artists to pursue career development and training opportunities. Funding is intended for individuals specializing in the areas of printmaking, sculpture, drawing, and painting. Eligible uses of funds include travel, living expenses, tuition, and art supplies. Artists must be working in the figurative or representational tradition.

Grants and in-kind support to USA small businesses to promote growth and success in the digital economy. Applicants are required to participate in coaching, training, and/or community events prior to applying. The purpose of the grant program is to provide small businesses with a wide range of resources and support to help them thrive. The program offers free courses, coaching and mentorships.

Opportunity for USA and Puerto Rico entrepreneurs to receive business development support. The purpose of the program is to help business owners achieve success through mentorship, peer support, and education. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to the community and a need for funding to support their business and serve customers.

Nominees will be judged on science and innovation, human health and environmental benefits, and applicability and impact. The award is intended for technologies that prevent or reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Prizes to USA individuals and nonprofit organizations to solve issues with locating rural and remote residences. The goal of the program is to find efficient and effective ways to compile a comprehensive list of addresses throughout the country. Applicants are encouraged to explore new or emerging technologies or alternative data sources such as drone and satellite imagery, e-commerce data, and more.

Opportunity for USA nonprofit and for-profit organizations, government agencies, and IHEs to showcase grid-edge technology solutions. Winners must attend an industry conference where they will present their solutions and have the opportunity to collaborate with other grid industry leaders.

Competition for USA students to create an item showing appreciation to military veterans. The competition is for youth ages 4-12; the challenge is to design a three-dimensional model of a wearable pin for veterans of any US military service branch. Pins will be handed to US veterans at the National Veterans Memorial Museum in Columbus, Ohio. The design should be original and created to show gratitude for veterans of any U.S. military service branch.

Funding is intended for apprenticeship readiness programs, registered apprenticeship programs, and maritime/mariner programs, with particular attention to programs that support underserved communities. The purpose of the program is to address the workforce needs of the domestic offshore wind industry.

Grants to USA and territories nonprofit organizations, including technical, scientific, and engineering societies, for workforce development programs that support the clean energy industry. The purpose of the program is to bolster interest in STEM careers that will advance the transition to clean energy. Eligible projects may enhance curriculum development, provide career coaching and mentorship, facilitate work-based learning opportunities, and provide career exposure to relevant groups.

Grants and in-kind support to USA and territories school food authorities and food industries in collaboration with eligible partners to improve food offerings for K-12 students. Applicants are advised that required registrations must be completed prior to applying. Eligible partners include farmers, public sector agencies, Tribal organizations, CBOs, and businesses.

Grants of up to $4,000 and in-kind support to New Hampshire nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and academic institutions for technology, outreach, and training that promote volunteerism. Applicants must complete the required registration before applying. Funding is intended to improve the ability of organizations serving the state to recruit, utilize, manage, and retain volunteers. In addition to funding, successful applicants will have access to Volunteer NH staff for support as needed. Priority is given to organizations whose primary beneficiaries are located in Coos County.

Grants of up to $500 to USA K-12 teachers to integrate aerospace education into the class curriculum. Priority will be given to activities that relate to aerospace science and technologies. Eligible uses of funding include, but are not limited to, supplies, technology, software, and other educational resources.

Awards to USA and Canada authors and illustrators to encourage and recognize emerging talent in children’s literature. Nominations are accepted on behalf of outstanding new illustrators and writers whose books portray the universal qualities of childhood, a strong and supportive family, and the multicultural nature of the world.

Grants to USA schools and nonprofit organizations serving children and youth for projects that increase the safety of outdoor play spaces. Funding may be used for expenses associated with the installation of shade structures. Grantees will also be provided with a permanent sign to be placed near the shade structure featuring sun-safety tips. To be considered, applicants must demonstrate that they have an active sun-safety/skin cancer awareness program for at least one year prior to application.

Award of $10,000 plus travel expenses to a USA, Canada, or International professor of computing education at an undergraduate IHE for excellence in teaching. Preference will be given to educators who have been teaching for ten years or less. Applications will be evaluated for the quality of the candidate's work, the innovative nature of the work, and its overall impact on computing education.

Grants to USA nonprofit institutions to foster the study and appreciation of historical American art. Funding is intended to support programs and activities that involve presentations of new studies on American art, the preservation and restoration of American art masterpieces, and innovative museum catalogues and books.

Grants of up to $5,000 to USA swim instructors, programs, and facilities to provide adult swimming lessons. Funding is intended to support the provision of free or low-cost opportunities for underserved and underrepresented populations to acquire basic swimming skills. The purpose of the program is to help make more adults safer around water, with a goal to reduce adult drowning risk through education, financial support, and community outreach.
