Awards to New Hampshire individuals, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and educational institutions to recognize their outstanding contributions to the community. Service awards will honor individuals and groups who strengthen the local communities and improve the lives of fellow citizens. Champion Awards will honor businesses and nonprofit organizations with volunteer programs that provide the infrastructure for volunteers to be successful in their service.

Award Categories:

  • The Volunteer Service Awards are given to youth, adults, seniors, and groups. The highest scored nominations from each will receive a special “Outstanding” award and will receive additional recognition (i.e., there will be an outstanding youth, senior, adult, and group).
  • The Volunteer Program Champion Awards are given to nonprofits, businesses, and educational institutions. The highest scored nominations from each will receive a special “Outstanding” award and will receive special recognition.
  • The Governor’s Outstanding Volunteer Manager of the Year is given to honor volunteer administrators and salute their excellence in leadership and management of volunteers in New Hampshire.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Volunteer Service Award Subcategories:
- Youth/Young Adult (age 22 and younger)
- Adult (age 23-64)
- Senior (age 65+)
- National Service Member (a person of any age being recognized for their efforts in a National Service program such as AmeriCorps State/National, AmeriCorps VISTA, AmeriCorps NCCC, or Senior Corps)
- Group (pair, family, club, or any other group of people who volunteer regularly)

Volunteer Champion Award Subcategories:
- Business
- Nonprofit/Public Service Organization

Nomination Deadline: Tuesday, September 22, at 4 PM
Nominees will likely be notified in mid-October.
