Grant : Science Outside $4,210 The specific goal of this grant is for students to learn about natural resources and biological processes involved in trees producing and using sap by applying hands-on skills throughout the entire process and connecting students to the out of doors. Students will explore the steps of the maple sugaring process, evaporation and processing while learning how the maple syrup industry impacts the state of New Hampshire. Students will utilize teamwork, math science and research skills, further exploring the effects of global warming and how it impacts this industry.
