TO DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN A COOPERATIVE AND WORKING RELATIONSHIP AMONG NEW HAMPSHIRE REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATIONS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES AND POLICIES WHICH BENEFIT LOW AND MODERATE INCOME RESIDENTS.

THE WINDHAM ENDOWMENT FOR COMMUNITY ADVANCEMENT IS A NON-PROFIT COMMUNITY FOUNDATION CREATED TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ALL WINDHAM RESIDENTS, NOW AND FOR GENERATIONS TO COME. THE ENDOWMENT PROVIDES A WAY FOR INDIVIDUALS, ORGANIZATIONS, AND CORPORATIONS TO CHANNEL THEIR PHILANTHROPIC GIVING FOR EDUCATIONAL, CULTURAL, RECREATIONAL OR ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES WITHIN THE TOWN.

The primary focus of the Friends of Winnacunnet Foundation is to provide supplemental funding to enhance a program of excellence in education at WHS. Grant : Science Outside $4,210 The specific goal of this grant is for students to learn about natural resources and biological processes involved in trees producing and using sap by applying hands-on skills throughout the entire process and connecting students to the out of doors. Students will explore the steps of the maple sugaring process, evaporation and processing while learning how the maple syrup industry impacts the state of New Hampshire. Students will utilize teamwork, math science and research skills, further exploring the effects of global warming and how it impacts this industry. Students will understand the small business process from tap to table while learning about the maple syrup industry.
